The Rodskog Approach

My background in corporate change management consulting enables me to assist you by using the most effective tools and processes for accomplishing successful change. Through shared commitment, we will work through the steps it will take to get you from your current state to your future, desired state.

Step 1: Assess "As-Is" State
All of my coaching relationships start with an up-front assessment of where you are in your life right now. What's going well? What's not going so well? Where would you rate yourself when it comes to fulfillment and satisfaction in all the areas of your life? We cannot grow without first truly understanding where you are.

Step 2: Define "To-Be" State
What is the end goal? Where would you like to see some movement or change? Whether approaching a small change or a life-long dream, we will work to define what success looks like when you reach your goal. What defines success? What are the measurable outcomes that you can strive for? We'll make this as concrete as possible.

Step 3: Prioritize
One of the amazing things about stepping into this process is the aspect of possibilities. You will suddenly be overwhelmed with the desire to control, change and be powerful in your own life. However, you can get overwhelmed if you take on too much. We will work through assessing those areas where you would like to grow and prioritizing those items. There will be "quick hits" and also long-term, high-impact items that we will focus on in order to balance your work. This way, you'll be accomplishing things along the way, while still staying focused on the most important items that may take longer to achieve.

Step 4: Create Growth Map
Once we have our goals in place, we will create an action plan, or Growth Map. We will discuss what needs to be done to achieve your goals, the amount of time you have to dedicate, the resources you have to assist you, and we will create a timeline of tasks that will outline your journey to success.

Step 5: Grow.
Once the plan is in place, all that's left is to DO IT! We will work weekly on your Growth Map, adjusting as needed when your priorities and resources change. We will work with commitment, energy and love in order to make it happen. Along the way we will focus on these tenants:
  • I will communicate honestly and openly.
  • I will live my life with integrity.
  • I will love myself first.
