Remember, all the items listed here are a courtesy to you, my community. These are not referrals or reviews, I am just providing a way for you all to connect with one another! Music Classes for Children 4-18 (NY)
[Julie Hill]
For the kids ages 4-9 in groups, I do fun interactive music games and introduce them to the basics of playing music, reading music, active listening, and musicianship skills. I also teach basic music theory to children this age privately (which can be especially helpful for children studying private piano, violin, etc).
For the kids ages 10+, I teach private voice lessons and private musicianship lessons (sight-singing, dictation, theory and analysis). I help high school students prepare for their AP Music Theory Exams and I can help younger kids prepare for All-State examination. All of my teaching can be customized for students interested in either jazz/ popular styles or classical style. I can teach a children’s classical choir for ages 10+ as well.
I usually teach for $50/ hour, but I could do a Becky-Rodskog’s-friend’s-kids special for $40/ hour.

[Sandra Koehler Lee]
Just wanted to let you know about some fun stuff on my website, www.parenthoodnj.com and thought you might want to share with friends or on your blog. I am running a family holiday contest with some great prizes and all you need to do is share your favorite holiday traditions. You can learn more about the contest, how to enter, how to vote here: http://www.parenthoodnj.com/holiday-2010-contest1.html Anyone over 18 can enter and the top prize is a birthday party for 8. You don’t have to be in NJ for some of the prizes but there are some that have geographic constraints (I’ll do my best to accommodate winners via geography).
